We're a small team of designers and developers with one foot in the film industry and the other in web development - and Actor Website Review is the tool we wished existed.

Our story starts on set, not in a code editor. Several of us spent years working behind the camera - as production coordinators, casting assistants, and on-set web/media techs - watching talented actors lose auditions and bookings not because of their reels, but because their websites loaded slowly, buried their headshots below the fold, or simply didn't come up when a casting director searched their name. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was building web tools for entertainment-industry clients and kept getting the same request: "can you just tell me if my site is actually good?"

So we combined the two. We took the kind of technical SEO and performance auditing normally reserved for e-commerce and SaaS companies, and rebuilt it from the ground up around what actually matters for an actor's website - a clear headshot, an easy-to-find demo reel, real representation contact info, and a working IMDb link, alongside the standard technical checks every site should pass.

Every scan we run is free, and every score is public - because the whole point is to raise the baseline for the entire industry, not to gatekeep good advice behind a paywall.
